1. When David said we got what we paid for with the motel... he meant it, but spared you the details. I'll paint a better picture for you now that we're gone, fine, & not doing that again. David hopped out of The Polk last night to check a couple motels' prices, & our winner came in at $40 after tax. Perfect! In the process of checking in, David made a "friend"... citing when he got back that, though it appeared otherwise, "he was a very nice guy." As we were settling in for the night, David's friend pulled up and walked into the room next to us. About an hour later, the police arrived to arrest David's new friend. We were all feeling guilty (well, Amy & I were, anyway) about leaving Polk outside to fend for himself - Amy even got up once overnight to check on him. Morning dawned, we left, & said goodbye to the second friends we'd made in Florence... our ant buddies. No more.
2. Rina is looking like she might cause some rain on us in the Keys, but not much more.
